Question and Prompts-Rejoice with Joy Unspeakable
To help you touch on each of the other main ideas for primary and Sunday School this week I have as always provided you with a question and prompt page. This is the outline of your lesson. I hope you love these as much as I do! I even use them at home! They are a series of questions and prompts you can ask directly to your class. As they answer you will touch on each topic we have been given to discuss this week. They are also riddled with scriptures and references to keep your eye focused on the scriptures. These will help bring to life what is being taught and also make it applicable to them today!
Family Lesson Ideas for- Rejoice with Joy Unspeakable
The first idea I want to share with you is for families. I do try to make all ideas interchangeable so you could certainly use this in primary or in Sunday school. My idea came from this prompt in your CFM manual:

In these verses, Peter reminded the Saints of his experience on the Mount of Transfiguration (see also Matthew 17:1–9). What do we learn from these verses about the teachings of prophets? (see also D&C 1:38). What gives us confidence to follow our living prophet today?
As I thought about the Mount of Transfiguration and our Prophets. I wanted to join the two ideas together. I created a simple printable pattern for you to create your own mountains with your families to symbolize the Mount of Transfiguration described in Matthew 17:1-9. Consider sharing these scriptures with your family as you do this activity together. Once you have assembled your mountains write on them what gives you confidence to follow the living prophet today. As you do so you will be reminded of your testimony of our prophet. This will make it easier to follow his teachings and make better choices.

Primary Lesson Ideas for Rejoice with Joy Unspeakable
Next I will share two ideas that are specifically for your primary classes. This would also be good at home with small children. The idea comes from this CFM prompt

Help the children fill out a simple family tree
This idea goes with the main idea: Sprits in the spirit world learn about the gospel. To keep it simple and to the point I have create these really easy to use Family tree templates. You can guide your class through filling them out or you could send them home to do as an activity with their families.
I should always be ready to share the gospel.
This next Primary lesson idea will help you teach ” I should always be ready to share the gospel.” This can be tricky even for an adult! So to help them be prepared I have created a series of questions. These are questions they may be asked throughout their lifetime about the gospel. Being able to answer these questions now will help them be prepared when opportunities arise to share the gosple with their friends and family who are not of our faith. You can turn this into a game and have the kids stand up and try and answer these questions out loud one at a time.

Sunday School Lesson Idea-Rejoice with Joy Unspeakable
If you have been around here for a while you know that I like to create
The gospel is preached to the dead so they can be judged justly.
I wanted to dive deeper into teaching the gospel to the dead and what that means realistically. The scriptures provide some great answers to this question. Use the 2 printable pages below to help your class learn about and understand teaching the gospel to the dead.
