Question and Prompt Pages
Now that we are familiar with what we have been asked to teach this week
This will help you achieve a couple of things! 1st it will help you touch on each of the main ideas I just mentioned above. 2nd it will keep you on track! Some of the main ideas each week can be hard to get to flow together. This is a really easy way to seamlessly transition from lesson idea to the next. 3rd engagement! This question and prompt page
Primary Lesson Idea #1 Church Leaders Pray for Me
This week one of the things we learn about from Paul is how much he loved his people. In Philippians 1:3-4 and Colossians 1: 3,9 Paul pays for his people. This is a wonderful opportunity to share with your class that you too pray for them. That the leaders of the church love them each personally and that they are being prayed over. Therfore, you can teach them that they too can pray for those they love. I have several ideas to help you teach this lesson idea.

The first idea I have to help you teach “Church leaders pray for me” is a very sweet illustration of a teacher playing for her class. You can let you kids color this page or you can share it pre-colored. There is also a spot for them to write their name on this page to show that their teacher is praying specifically for them to make it more personal and real.
The second Idea I have is this prayer bubble page. This is a great way to get your kids thinking about who they can pray for. This will help them develop their own personal prayers and make them more meaningful. When they realized they can pray for those they love it will draw a deeper connection to prayer. How amazing is it that we can teach our sweet kids about the power of praying for those we love?!
Primary Lesson idea #2: I can rejoice in the Lord.
Now
Make sure you use your Q+P page to work your way through his subject and really dive into what it means to rejoice in the Lord to help you teach this lesson: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”

The next idea will help you teach older kids. With this
There are 3 different work pages for rejoicing in the Lord. Another great thing about these three pages is they can stand alone and be used individually or as a group. Totally up to you! They will help you teach I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
Primary Lesson Idea #3 My Faith should be “rooted” in Jesus Christ
Now

Additionally I have a few worksheets. Now I want to you look at these worksheets in 2 ways. You can use them as a guide to cover together as a class. Or if you have older more independent kids you can let them fill them out on their own or in groups. I know each class has different needs therefore you have options. The worksheets for ” My faith should be firmly rooted in Jesus Christ” Include:
- Paul’s Testimony with scriptures to study and a coloring prompt
- Paul’s Trials and how they can relate to our own
- compare and contrast the 13 article of faith and Philippians 4:8
- Dissect Philippians 4:8 to make it applicable to your own life
Each class needs are unique therefore I like to give you several options to choose from each week. Pick the ideas that you think your class will respond to best but don’t worry about trying to do each idea. These are all ideas to help you teach our main lesson focus which is: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
Sunday School Lesson Idea #1: Disciples of Jesus Christ become “New” as they live His Gospel
Lets transition into Sunday school ideas. The first principle from the Come Follow Me Manual is: Disciples of Jesus Christ become “new” as they live His gospel. I wanted to create a way for you to teach these two concepts “New and Old” man. For that reason, I created this simple work page to help you compare and contrast the two using your scriptures.

I also want to help you
Sunday School Lesson Idea #2: We can find joy in Christ, regardless of our circumstances
As you dive

rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say; Rejoice.
Next was a suggestion from CFM to Read the talk by President Russell M. Nelson. Another talk suggestion was Peace that passes all
The next idea is the same one from the Primary suggestions but will work just as well with a Sunday school class. You can compare and contrast Philippians 4:8 and the 13th article of faith using the worksheet below for the lesson I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
This last idea will help your class really bring this idea home. It will breakdown Philippians 4-4:13 and how their trials and Pauls relate and how they can still find joy in their struggles. This will also further help teach I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
Sunday School Lesson Idea #3 When our Faith is “rooted” in Jesus Christ, we are strengthened against worldly influences
The first two ideas I have for this will help you teach about “spiritual whirlwind”. Ive included a talk by elder Neil L. Andersen and an illustration/coloring page you can use along with it.

Next is a printable and prompt from a talk from Elder Dallin H. Oaks. In it he talks about several worldly traditions that contradict the gospel. These are great for your class to understand and then make a list of traditions that are holy.
As we discuss being rooted in Christ you will also have this class prompt to start a discussion about the listed scriptures and how being rooted in Christ is so vital. This is a great way to teach ” I can do all things through Christ which
Teaching ideas for Individuals and Families: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
You will see that each heading in this post contains a group of ideas to teach a particular concept. To prep in advance, I will print each “set” and put them together as a group in a sheet protector. These I keep in a binder on my counter and as we read scriptures as a family I use the prompt cards you’ll see in the group pictures above to teach my family. I don’t use them all every week but I will use a couple and teach what I think my family needs to here. These are a great tool to help you teach your families: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. You’ll find the prompt cards below:
