Today I am sharing Easter Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas. These lesson ideas will help you teach about Christs life, what he taught prior to his death and the story of his crucifixion. Leading up to Easter Sunday you will have a tirade of teaching tools to help your family understand the significance of Easter and Christ’s role.
The Easter Story Coloring Book
I want to begin by sharing with you the coloring book that I created last year. This storybook is a great way to get your kids involved with the story of Christ and Easter.
The Story Book includes the following pages:
- The Last Supper
- Christ in Gethsemane
- Christ on the cross
- The tomb
- The Resurrected Christ

The Easter Story Colored pages
In addition to the coloring book pages I have a second set of the same images that are already colored. This is great if you just want to tell the story to your children but don’t want to color them.
Christ Visits the Americas
one of the suggestions for come follow me this week as we prepare for Easter was to talk about Jesus’ visit to the Americas. The following prompt from the Come Follow Me book below explains further:
3 Nephi 11; 17
Some families have found that studying the account of the resurrected Savior’s visit to the Americas is especially meaningful during the Easter season. Encourage family members to imagine what it would have been like to feel His wounds (see 3 Nephi 11:14–15) or to be one of the children He blessed (see 3 Nephi 17:21). How does this account deepen our gratitude for the Savior’s Resurrection? A painting that depicts this account accompanies this outline; others can be found at ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Your family members might also enjoy drawing their own pictures of what they read.
I wanted to bring this story to life and so I created images illustrating three key scriptures that describe Christ’s visit to North America. Use these pictures as you read the scriptures as a family.

Christ is Crucified Pictures and Coloring pages
The last activity I have for you this week as we celebrate Easter is a new coloring book. These pages specifically focus on christ crucifixion and include scriptures and a story to help as you teach. The following Come follow me prompt helped inspire these pages:
Teach the children that in addition to the people who saw the resurrected Savior in Jerusalem, thousands saw Him when He appeared in the Americas.
Possible Activities
- Show pictures of the Savior’s death and Resurrection. Ask the children what they know about these events. As needed, use “Chapter 53: Jesus Is Crucified” and “Chapter 54: Jesus Is Risen” (New Testament Stories, 136–38, 139–44, or the corresponding videos on ChurchofJesusChrist.org) to tell the children these stories.

Conclusion-Easter Lesson Pages
I hope you enjoy the lesson ideas coloring pages and illustrations I’ve created for you this week! These are made to work along side your come follow me manual and be a visual for you families. The coloring pages will be great to use at home and at church and will keep your family and class focused on the Savior.
