Today I am sharing with you something I realized quickly I wanted to have for myself as I start implementing the teachings in our new Come Follow Me for Individuals and Families in 2019.
Come Follow Me For Individuals and Families Study Help- December 31-January 6 2019
Last night we sat down as a family and cracked open our manual for the first time. The New Testament Come follow me for Individuals and Families 2019. This manual was created as new instruction was given at the 2019 October conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. President Russell M. Nelson first addressed the changes in THIS Talk and then Quentin L. Cook Further explained them further in THIS subsequent talk.
My head was spinning with all these new changes. And continued to turn as the information has flowed out in recent weeks and months. Despite feeling a little overwhelmed, my over all feelings have been of excitement as we are given new tools to better teach and convert our families at home. As a mother to 5 young children ages 7,7,5,3,1 I feel a huge amount of pressure and urgency to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to my children. The world is quickly and readily accepting mis-truths and evil that is hard to shield young children from. I often wonder am I doing enough to share the truth and light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with my children? To help them be able to weed out the many voices shouting at them from the world?
Feelings of Inadequacy as I teach the Gospel in My own Home
I have often felt inadequate to teach my kids the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Questioning weather I have a deep enough understanding of the Gospel myself. I am sure I am not alone in these feelings of inadequacy. Finally, peace came when I finally got my hands on the New Testament Come Follow Me manual. I felt like I had just been given the key. Some black and white instruction to better share the gospel of Jesus Christ in my home. I long for tangible study guides and am so thankful for this new manual. The New Testament Come Follow Me for Individuals and Families.
Week 1
When I opened up my manual for the first time I realized that there is quite a bit of scripture and references laced in week 1. I sat down and started copy and pasting each of those scripture references into a word document. I did this because I knew it would better help me grasp the amount of scripture and total content available to share with my family week by week. The first week is a little more daunting than the ones to follow since it is the pre-cursor to actually beginning the New Testament reading. Consider it the prep work of the New Testament reading.
