Christmas Bible Verses- Advent Calendar
For the last couple of weeks, I have been working on this special project so that you would be able to bring the true meaning of Christmas into your homes this year. I have illustrated 24 different ornaments that included nightly scriptures to share with your family. These scriptures are going to tell the story of Jesus Christ’s birth from start to finish. They start December 1st and ends December 24th Each ornament will tell you the day to hang it on your tree and the verses from the Bible you should read. Below you will find the Christmas Bible verses for kids of all ages to read each night leading up to Christmas.

Christmas Bible Verses for Kids
I wanted to make this advent calendar with little kids in mind! When you print them out consider laminating them. This way you can use the set year after year. Your kids can also play with them and help put them on the tree and they will hold up better! My kids have been shuffling ours around on the kitchen table and playing with them as I finished them up last night and area already seeing how they fit into the Nativity story. They will love the cute illustrations on them!
Come Follow Me Christmas Lesson
As you know Christmas Sunday will only consist of Sacrament meeting so you will not have an official lesson to teach in Primary or Sunday school . This can however be turned into a lesson to teach the week before christmas if you so wish! Bring a small tree to class and let the students in your class take turns putting each ornament on the tree and find the verses in their scriptures. You can then send them home with a set to use with their families!
Light the World 2019
This set of advent ornaments would also be a great way to participate in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints light the world initiative. Print out several sets of ornaments and wrap them in a pretty box to deliver to your friends and neighbors on the last day of November. Then they too can participate in reading the story of Jesus Christ’s birth each night throughout the holiday season. You can find out more about the Light the World efforts below:
How to Assemble Your Nativity Ornaments:
Below you will find the printables for each of your ornaments. Each will also contain the Bible verses, day and ornament type that goes with it.
- Cut out all ornaments
- put the front and back pieces together
- attache with a glue stick
- laminate each ornament
- cut out
- punch a hole in each
- tie white yarn through each hole to allow a hanger for your tree
- ENJOY! and make a
couple sets to share with friends - be sure to print out the free printable
vereses and day pages to go with your ornaments to make it easy to read the verses each night!
Nativity Calendar Dates
I have recently updated these templates to no longer include the dates on the backs of the ornaments only the scriptures. In your download folder below you will find that there is now 3 different sets of instructions:

- 12 Days of Christmas Nativity Ornaments
- 5 Days of Christmas Nativity Ornaments
I wanted you to get the most use out of these ornaments! If you plan to share them with friends or just use them in your own home. You can use the directions for which ever time period works best of you! If you want to do the 24 days of Christmas you’ll start December 1st. If you want to do the 12 days of Christmas you will start December 13th. If you want to do just the 5 days of Christmas you will start December 19th
