Family Activity for An High Priest of Good things to come
There were so many awesome topics to choose from this week for teaching at home. I have highlighted some of the others in Sunday school and Primary ideas so be sure to check them out. You might want to use one of those ideas to teach your families this week! But The main idea I wanted to help you teach in your home was this:
Hebrews 10:32–36
You might invite family members to share spiritual experiences when they felt “illuminated” with truth. How can these experiences help us “cast not away therefore [our] confidence” in times of trial or doubt?

This word “illuminated” really grabbed my attention and made me think of stars and constellations. Which is something that is really fun and exciting for kids of all ages! I created this simple constellation activity. You will first need a few inexpensive supplies: These are affiliate links that will help you quickly grab these from Amazon in time for next week I myself purchased these exact items you’ll see in the images!
Constellation Activity Supplies
There are two options for this activity. You can re-create the “spiritual truths” I have created tracings for on the work page. Or you can let your family free hand their own experiences when they felt illuminated with truth using the supplies above. This is a fun and simple project to make teaching a little more fun and memorable.

Family Prompt Cards
I have also provided you with this easy printable page. These are prompt cards. These are meant to help facilitate easy discussions about the Come Follow Me main ideas for the week. Consider using them at the dinner table! They are simple and easy to talk about and would help provoke some great conversations without taking too much time or effort!
Primary-An High Priest of Good things to come teaching ideas
Now that you have been armed with ideas to teach at home how about we dive into primary ideas! Again even if

The priesthood can help us in many ways.
The priesthood is a central part of this weeks study and I wanted to dive a little further into this principle. There are some awesome suggestions in Come Follow Me. I did some searching and came up with this game. Its a game that is easy to play with your class. But will teach them all about the priesthood and the different responsibilities of each different priesthood.
How to play! Print out your pages one will have each of the different priesthood:
- Deacon
- Teacher
- Priest
- Teacher
- Elder
- High Priest
- Melchizedek
Next there are some colorful cards. Each of these cards contains an ordinance that is performed by one or more the priesthood holders above. Let members of your class determine which preisthood performs which as you talk about the different priesthood’s and their responsibilities. I also have a key that will help keep you on track with further instructions as you play!

Primary Questions and Prompts
To help you touch on each of the other main ideas for primary this week I have as always provided you with a question and prompt page. This is the outline of your lesson. I hope you love these as much as I do! I even use them at home! They are a series of questions and prompts you can ask directly to your class. As they answer you will touch on each topic we have been given to discuss this week. They are also riddled with scriptures and references to keep your eye focused on the scriptures. These will help bring to life what is being taught and also make it applicable to them today!
Sunday School Lesson Ideas for An High Priest of Good things to come
You can absolutely play the priesthood game above in primary! But I also have a few worksheets that are geared towards older kids that will be great to help them dive into the scriptures and really learn about the following idea:
Faith requires trusting in God’s promises.
I have 3 work pages that will help you teach this principle to your Sunday school class. There are writing prompts to help your class think deeper. Additionally, there is a list of characters that Paul mentions in Hebrews 11. These people are examples of having faith in things unseen. You’ll get to then bring it back to today and ask your kids about examples of faithful people in their own lives. These work pages mainly help dissect Hebrews 11 and teach the principle that “Faith requires trusting in God’s Promises”

Sunday School Question and Prompts
Just as I do each week with Primary there is also a Q and P page for you Sunday school teachers! This will be the foundation of your teaching. its a simple reference to each of this weeks topics to help you touch on each one with your class and stay on track!
